Restricting Single-Use Plastic Bags

Monday, July 28
Board Meeting, Village Hall, 8pm

Please join us for a discussion on the proposed restriction of single-use plastic shopping bags in the Village of Pleasantville. We hope many residents and store owners will attend to learn the facts and have your concerns discussed and addressed. This initiative is part of our continued effort to educate the community about the unsustainability of using single-use plastic bags. This is not a formal public hearing.

Update: On June 3, 2014 Hastings-on-Hudson's Board of Trustees unanimously approved a local law to become the latest Westchester municipality to ban disposable plastic and paper bags at check-out counters, and the first municipality in the county to ban Styrofoam.
