Restricting Single-Use Plastic Bags

PleasantvilleRecycles presented arguments for a single-use plastic shopping bag ban in front of the Village Board on Monday, January 27, 2014. We will ask the village board on Monday, July 28, 2014 for a public hearing date - stay tuned for futher news. View our presentation and read our FAQ.

Update: On June 3, 2014 Hastings-on-Hudson's Board of Trustees unanimously approved a local law to become the latest Westchester municipality to ban disposable plastic and paper bags at check-out counters, and the first municipality in the county to ban Styrofoam.
